- The characterization of molecular chirality is of great significance in physiology and pharmacology. When electromagnetic waves interact with chiral materials, optically active phenomena emerge and provide powerful tools for probing material chirality. Recently, we have developed techniques for the structural characterization of nanoscale chiral particles by exploiting superchiral near fields in nanostructures, enabling chirality detection with high sensitivity and high resolution.
